Hill Country Dreams
San Saba Olive Oil Company was started in September 2011 by Jim Brozo, who originally purchased land near town with dreams of running his own Hill Country ranchette. However, he quickly realized that farming and ranching were not the right fit for him. With over 30 years of experience in the restaurant and produce industry and a vast knowledge of exceptional cooking products – including olive oil and balsamic vinegar – Jim decided to take a leap of faith. He opened up a shop in downtown San Saba, and San Saba Olive Oil Co. quickly became popular! By 2013, business was such a success that Jim brought on René Mcbee to help keep up with demand. René took over as the owner and manager in April 2019, after Jim retired. She has continued the story of success and passion for high-quality products for which San Saba Olive Oil Co. has come to be known.
