San Saba’s Boot Stompin’ Summer Music Series

It’s that time of year again! We’re bringing back the San Saba Summer Music Series! The dance floor starts shaking on May 4, 2019, when Shea Abshier & The Nighthowlers take the stage.

Here is the nitty-gritty: each of the concerts benefits a local nonprofit organization; tickets for each concert are $15. All shows start at 8 pm (doors at 6:30 pm), except the street dance on June 8, which starts at 7:15 pm and is $20. Without further ado, here’s the lineup…

Shea Abshier & the Nighthowlers kick off the music series on Saturday, May 4, at Diggs. The Texas-born crooner blends blues and gospel with rock n’ roll creating a unique hard-hitting sound that’s getting people’s attention. Mayeux & Broussard will take the stage to get the evening started. Get tickets here!

Get your dancing boots out because Texas Country crooner Wade Bowen is taking the stage for our annual Pecan Captial Street Dance on June 8 will have you two-stepping the night away on June 8. The singer-songwriter crooner masterfully blends ballads with red dirt country tunes that’ll have you singing along into your lady’s ear as you twirl her around the dancefloor. Grady Spencer and Jonathon Terrell are opening the evening at 7:15 pm. Get tickets here!

Soulful roots country rockers – Copper Chief – will be stompin’ up a storm on June 22 at Digg’s. Expect energy and unapologetic grit from the band which calls themselves “a little rock’n’roll, a little country, a little swamp, a little psychedelic, a little roots, a little blues, and a whole lot of chutzpah.” Shaker Hymns will be opening! Texas Flood will pay homage to the legendary Stevie Ray Vaughan on July 20. Expect a night full of classic blues from the tribute band. Black Valley will be opening the evening at Digg’s. Get tickets here!

Buck Fuffalo (say that five times fast) closes out the series at Digg’s on August 17. Expect to be entertained by the self-described six string Strummin’ Cheap Beer Chuggin’ Dirty Song Hummin’ Texas Sumptin’ Sumptin’ band. The Guadalupe Pirates will be opening the evening! Get tickets here.
