Risien Park is a gift from E. Guy Risien and the LCRA that has been outfitted to an 80-acre park space. An old railroad trestle is the entrance to a magnificent pecan grove bordered on one side by the San Saba River and lush trees, picnic sites, grills, pavilion, RV hookups, volleyball courts and an old stone amphitheater. Today the San Saba River Nature Park adjoins Risien Park with an additional 38 acres of greenbelt along the San Saba River featuring two miles of walkways, bridges, bird blinds and fishing stations. Risien Park hosts the annual Catkins Ball fundraiser, in addition to weddings and other events.
